Our Wedding

We met on June 20, 2016 at the Northern Virginia Community College campus in Sterling VA, through Charles' former girlfriend, who was in Christina’s class. Christina needed a ride to an interview and Chares was happy to give her a lift. Christina and Charles have chosen to get married on our tenth anniversary of dating!

Wedding Party

Weather is expected to be between the high 70s to mid-80s at the time of the wedding. For men we'd suggest button down shirts, light slacks and possibly a sports jacket. For women we'd suggest dresses (knee length or long) or skirts with light tops. Weather permitting, the wedding will be held outside. At 5:30 there will be sun, but it shouldn't be too strong. In the case of inclement weather, we will hold the wedding in the reception area. For the reception we have a fantasy theme. Think Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones. If you would like to change into a costume or fantasy them outfit for the party, please do! We will also have elf ears and other add ons so everyone who wants can join the fun.

Dress Code

We will be live streaming the ceremony for those who are not able, for a multitudes of reasons, to attend the wedding in person.  The live stream will star on June 27 2026 at 5pm or so and the ceremony is from 5:30 to 6:00pm.

Parking is conveniently located across the street from the entrance to the reception venue.

Parking for the Wedding

The Inn at Herrington Harbour is sold out for the wedding weekend. Call in case there is a cancelation. Inn at Herrington Harbour is on the same property as the wedding, so the most convenient place to stay. Each person is able to book as desired.

We have 10 room block for both Friday and Saturday nights. Rooms with 2 double beds and 1 Kin Bed, some of which have a balcony, are available. Rod 'N' Reel Resort

Three airports are close to the venue:Reagan National (DCA) is the closestBaltimore Washington (BWI) usually offers the lowest cost flightsWashington Dulles (IAD) has the widest variety of flights.

Airports

From the local airports, you will be able to take a cab Uber or Lyft. From Rod and Reel Resort there will be a coach to transport you to the wedding venue. If you are not staying at the Inn at Herrington Harbour or Rod and Reel Resort, you might find the need for a car.

Walk the boardwalk, go the local farmers market, eat breakfast at the Bakist, or enjoy the pier in North Beach MD.

North Beach

Annapolis is the capital of Maryland and about 45 minutes from the wedding venue. It was founded in 1650 and has many charms.
